trying to pick out new furniture. Can't decide between finishes. Having eclectic tastes, and seriously liking anything if it looks nice is an issue when making decisions.

I'm going with IKEA for a new desk and bed, because if I want to replace it I can shift it over to the room that's part office, part guestroom maybe

decided to keep my furniture in storage a bit longer or at least my headboard/footboard. Might move my dressers in. They're Arts & Crafts antiques. Not sure if I should go with a white finish or black/brown finish, or grey/brown stain finish.

if I go with ikea I can get a Linnmon desktop that is lengthwise more than plenty. I have to be able to accommodate the monitor, light, coffee, plant, and cat. I would like drawers a small amount for the crap that I seem to collect on my desk

Yes, I was prepared for that. I've ditched so much Ikea crap for that reason. I had at one point 2 of every Expedit item in my house. The first move was ok, the second a bitch cause 3 floor townhouse, I didn't bring it, I didn't think it could survive another move.

Maybe I will go with the antiques, and then just find some middle ground paint. I like the dove grey, but I also want some cohesiveness, textiles will do it. But that wall color. It's technically neutral but idk.

I'm a big IKEA fan too, but that bed lol. The bottom part that slides out has to come out at the exact right angle and be straight or it gets caught. It does however have a great 'sofa' like feel.
