as much as i love my friends, i'll sometimes find myself thinking "i wish i had more local friends who--"

today it was "i wish i had more local friends who would go for a walk in the pouring rain with me"

this is a mood

i love my online friends so much and esp working abroad it's been a lifesaver, but

we can't go on walks or get dinner or any number of other things :c

Yeah, I know two people within easy distance, and one of those is just the SO of the other. Spontaneity is kinda hard with at least an hour's travel.

alas, Boston is still a ways away so alas weather reports and planning would have to be involved to facilitate something like that

but it's not SUPER far away

all the northeast states are close enough together for travel to be potentially feasible

god yeah as opposed to the west where you drive for an hour and you're still in the same city
