[pregnancy] not me lmfao

i'm plurkingg a log tonight sorry

it amazes me so much that my cousin is pregnant and yet idk why because she's been w/ her boyfriend like almost 20 years now but

good lord its like both the cousins that i was super close with and that are youunger than me are both having kids or have had them

i remember her saying she didnt want kids but this was like 5 or so years ago now

anyways i'm just waiting for the "are you gonna give me grandkids" to kick back up and ugh

sometimes i wish i wanted kids or thought i'd be able to do it but i am not in a good place and not stable financially or any of that so i'm just thinking that it'll probably never happen

but don't forget, that guy on twitter said you're privileged to not have kids

I thought I didn't want kids until one day I did, but

you have to be HECKin SURE

and they are v. expensive

and my parents still guilt trip me bc I didn't do it sooner, we don't live closer, etc etc etc.

I'm following a lot of academics on twitter and there was a thread that was like

"If you don't have kids what do you even have to complain about during quarantine"

......... bruh

And I'm like no doubt this is a stressful time for people with children. I'm guessing on the whole more stressful than people without but like

Meanwhile my two closest coworkers with children are both like "yeah I think when the offices are fully open I'm gonna come in once a week o love working from home!!"
