one of my favorite theories re: iocane powder is that he didn't actually poison either glass, but poisoned him when he smelled it, but because it was such a small amount, that's why it took so long

Micro dosing poisons to build up an immunity is a thing so I was never bothered, whether it technically realistic or not it's a trope in fantasy so.... also why would he make up the story to buttercub?
