do you have a go to movie or actress that makes you feel safe? mine has always been queen latifa so i I rewatch last holiday, beauty shop, and bringing down the house like an addict. she reminds me so much of my mom both in personality and how she carries herself and i have to have seen these movies well over 100 times.

Cass : yeah I think that one is particularly difficult to take a position on for me, because obviously the story is incredibly lacking in diversity for the present day, but it had more non-white characters than any of my schools had when I was a kid, so it's difficult to fault the story itself when its representation is accurate
