i was studying german in high school at the time

that's what got me interested too I fell in love with Faust then while looking up fanart I clicked the history behind Faust and fell into that rabbit hole thankfully I had my own computer at the time

it would be! i don't know if that's the norm though... in sailor moon crystal only usagi's VA came back and in fruits basket 2019 i don't think any of the old cast returned, iirc

I remember getting original DVDs off Ebay and the original Japanese... there was this point in an earlier episode where they didn't have a cicada sound effect or something? I just remember there being a cicada and a really deep voice going "miiiiipmibipbiiip"
