[RL] So. My work is reopening on the 18th.

Except we're classed as a non-essential shop.

And Wales isn't even announcing the results of the three week review until the 19th.

Which won't come into effect until the 22nd.

So there's a lot of, "But..I'm not sure we can really do this" going on with the staff.

But there's not much I can say about it because...it's coming from higher up.

They want us open to catch some Father's Day sales.

Since we missed out on most of Easter and all of Mother's Day.

is it a national retailer so they're just full speed ahead hoping some stores can open and the rest can just... something?

National retailer. They HAVE had shops open the entire time because some of our shops have post offices in them.

Ah. That's how we're getting around it, I think. Apparently, there are key worker letters waiting for us at work.

It's POSSIBLE that it's only meant so we don't get in trouble for going in to help reset up the shop again.

Yep. Apparently, because some of our shops have post offices, they were able to be reclassified as essential shops. Which they put ALL our shops under. Head office closed most of us for a few months, but they're using that to get us open a few days early.
