I love when my cat comes out of the bedroom or up the stairs with a toy in his mouth, loudly announcing his 'kill' to the household

the sound of a cat yowling through a mouthful of sparkly puffball is unique and delightful

oh no my cat does this too

she carries a ball in her mouth to me, meowing to announce her victory, and drops it by me

Yeah, I saw a video the other day and apparently this is one of the things cats do in the wild to communicate with each other

unlike the meowing which they do specifically for us

are they saying HERE'S SOME FOOD FOR YOU

basically! 'I have hunted successfully and am bringing my kill'

when she does that i usually stop what i'm doing and pet her a lot like "awww you're such a good hunter good job"
