Anything written by Neil Gaiman? "Trigger Warning" is my favorite short stories collection. "Good Omens" is, well, good omens. If you're looking something spot- on romantic, "Stardust" might be a choice. Oh, and "The Sandman". Presented in the form of comics. Simply epic.
