1) I think it’s fucking insane that characters coming back to life if they die is the standard mechanic for RPs

But having people come back from the dead has a huge impact on a situation and should be carefully integrated into an RP with due consideration on how that effects the characters

You know my feelings on apps, but I will give you that samples sucked. They had to be longer than any reasonable normal tag you would make, but you also had to not get too wrapped up in yourself, and that balancing act was pretty much impossible. And third-person samples were almost never useful because most games rarely if ever used the format!

the worst I was in was a game where third person samples were required to be a single meaty monologue. prose threads on the tdm were unacceptable, and were the most frequent cause for revisions. this was mentioned nowhere on the tdm
