Reading through Anonymous' postings overnight. My son woke me (I was sleeping in) sending their comments on education, which had me cheering (it pretty much aligns with the reasons we homeschooled both boys).

kesseret : If you ever really want to study American Education, I recommend starting with John Taylor Gatto. Most of his books are available free online. This one was the final nail in the coffin of public education for us: Dumbing Us Down | Shikshantar

At one point, JTG was Teacher of the Year here in NY state. A prior student told him he had to use the platform when he accepted his award as an opportunity to really speak out, so that speech is included (The Seven Lesson School Teacher).
