TMA: look, I understand why there's been an abrupt increase in Tim/Sasha shipping after the first couple episodes of S5, but fixating on a ship where the only time it was addressed on-screen the woman said that it was a: not really a thing and b: over is kind of a bad look

I love them as friends and I appreciate the overarching tragedy of Tim Doesn't Get To Be Happy but we get little enough of the real Sasha, it makes me a little uncomfortable to put so much focus on the potential of something that she explicitly shut down

HS: I didn't need or expect Gamzee to have a happy ending but I would have liked to have at any point felt like Hussie understood why Gamzee's story, as written, is a tragedy

relatedly, and this is very old salt, I would have liked the fandom to recognize the difference between sobriety and withdrawal

It makes it really hard to take "American Hunters" seriously as even a loosely allied network when they aren't making a concerted effort to put the Winchesters down

I can buy the boys having a few isolated allies left but the fact that the bulk of the community is neutral-to-hero-worshippy over them when they've been the known last point of contact for not only multiple well-established hunters but multiple well-established support hunters is lazy writing

no self-respecting hunter should be willing to work with the men who got the Roadhouse Crew, Bobby Singer, and the entire goddamn Cambell clan killed and were the last hunters to work with Garth before he dropped off the grid

Yeah like I guess the idea is no one knows the extent of their bullshit but with all the psychics running around you’d think one would’ve tattled by now

if the stories of their heroic exploits can get around, so should the stories of all of the people the got killed, especially when those were people who other hunters were similarly depending on for research and running interference

occasionally the writing toys with the idea that other hunters consider them dangerous to know but even then there's a world of difference between "these guys tend to throw other hunters under the bus" and "these guys are the reason everyone else is running blind in the middle of yet another apocalypse"

actually honestly now that I think about it the fact that they are sitting on what's implied to be the single biggest collection of occult reference material in north america, inside a secure facility, and they don't have anyone running a support hunter gig from the bunker full-time is kind of fucked up

I don't think Dean would make a very good research guy but there's no reason for Sam to ever be in the field, Sam doesn't like field work, Sam's always been the team's research guy anyway and should be extending that to other hunters

Yeah fuck put him on hunter community service

I don't know what Dean can do to make up for his crimes though maybe he should just go to hunter jail
