I just harvested my first honey. No, this is not the usual time of year for harvesting, but my bees had SO MUCH honey left over from the winter, that it's safe to do so. Also, I moved one colony into smaller hive boxes--easier to handle in future. Will try to move second one tomorrow, weather permitting.
