has installed Elementary OS Linux on an old laptop. It works well, in that it is very MacOS like. But it doesn't come with a lot of applications. Adding applications is somewhat problematic in that they try to emulate Apple on that also. The applications are limited to what is in their App store.

I will play with it for awhile and if the limitations become too aggravating, I will try another version of Linux. I liked Ubuntu, and MINT. One of my work servers is migrating to CentOS so I might look into that also.
