there is strategy to Frontline, but the single biggest factor in Frontline is luck

take my latest match where my team lost by a miserable 1200 points

simply put our team was just objectively bad

couldn't win an engagement at all

the only possible strategy where we could've win was if first or second place teams decided to lock each other into deadlock while we steal all the nodes and that just wasn't happening

both teams decided getting into a node race and farming us was better instead

because we were easy points

and by keeping us in distant third it meant that they realistically only had to worry about each other and only really fought at the end to try to win the point race

and of course there's know it alls berating everyone in chat and telling us to "think about what we did wrong, which was everything" which wasn't quite true the group was both unskilled and unlucky. Both dancers didn't even dance partner anyone and only one of them did after being asked to 3 times
