i dislike procedural cop shows that are so preachy about cops that you wonder if they're written by one of those blue lives matter people

the way they kind of skirt around things like brutality and racism in their ranks

case and point: blue bloods

blue bloods is so bootlickery omfg my inlaws love it

my grandma watches it and its so bad

that commerical that has the main guy monologuing about cops and how they're only human and prone to the same doubts and fears as the rest of us

I like watching SVU to get dick wolf's bad take on [insert x social issue from a year ago]

... i kind of do enjoy svu for that and their oh so subtle attemps at ripping off actual things that happened

but this show is just bad preachy and not even enjoyable and the characters are all flat 1d barely there

I've been known to tolerate a few cop procedurals (Castle/Bones/SVU) but Blue Bloods is awful

My dad watches it and some of the shit I overhear

there was a bit I remember recently... some of the background cop characters were getting harrassed by people on the street, and they don't go feral and kill them..... and what his face there Tom Selleck and his big wig other cops tear them new ones over not standing up for themselves

and making cops look weak

and I just..............................
