It’s dumb but I just found out that SEGA Heroes is shutting its servers down next month and I’m really bummed out about it

They’re doing like a big grand finale event but I’m just sitting over here in the corner wondering what the point of playing anymore is

One of my favourite online games shutdown it servers, so annoyed! They made a mobile version which I can't play because it's not available where I am.

Fox : Owch, that sucks I'm sorry

KW : Oh well. At least I still have my other favourites to play. Sucks that your game shutdown. Why must they do this to us poor gamers?

In Sega Heroes case it's because Sega no longer owns the company that made it, I guess I should count myself lucky that they're throwing a ton of resources at us so we can try and finish it before the servers close

Really? That's a bummer. They didn't try to find another company to take it over? Ugh.

I think it's less someone running it and more Sega owns some characters and the other company owns others and now that they're separate it causes legal issues

It's a pity they couldn't do some kind of compromise and keep the game up. It's also a pity how decent games get shutdown and shitty ones stay up. AION should have been shutdown a long time ago.
