Working on this heist thing... talking to myself as I do.... sorry for all the plurks this is the first time in a WEEK I've really been mentally present.
I'm using everyone's rosters to put together Dirk's actual strategy and he's going to be so disgusted with Jack's Pokemon...... how have you been here longer than him, what have you been DOING, fuck this, etc.
Steven continues to earn Dirk's appreciation, as his Pokemon are... actually very useful, despite not being anywhere near level 100 (there are level 100 Lapras in this pod, trained by Armin himself, so Dirk is uhhh forced to strategise around that)
(just one and technically he was already lvl 100 when he came into Armin's hands. But he was trained by an actual trainer so, you know, battle-skilled)
(Enough to be a serious issue when there are so many other Lapras involved as well... Dirk's going to want to focus him down if at all possible in an attempt to leave the others leaderless. Problem is "how" etc... )
I DID NOTICE THE DATE/TIME STAMP but it's okay I'm mostly trying to do one... at MOST two Pokemon from each Rocket to keep this from being a small novella
And again, Dirk will be a big complainer about Jack's team's levels but he can't be out there trying to battle shit and also in the Laprasbot, he's only one one man (....cue laugh track)
Dirk literally can't believe Jack isn't concerned about relative strength and the (dis)advantages that entails (but Dirk, most people aren't from literal video games the way you were.........)
Dirk's real problem is he can't imagine Jack NOT being bothered that Dirk could beat him in battle... if there's a dick measuring contest to be had, Dirk has to be the best or the absolute worst.
And Jack's over here like 'eh, pretty sure my bear could beat you in a boxing match and either way I'd make bank selling tickets to it, so...I'm good!'
YEAH..... Miasma (and Lydia's Gengar, Eclipse) are MOSTLY being asked to use Confuse Rays and Night Shades because that racks up damage/spreads status/upsets and disorients the Lapras the fastest, but the fact that they have Levitate and can move around the bay freely is a HUGE part of that too.

Sturdy does NOT protect you from Explosion... in the games, anyway. I don't know if we have an official mod position on it. IT'LL BE INTERESTING TO FIND OUT.
Dirk doesn't want to lose any Lapras if he can help it.... also for the sake of Dees, who has to judge this, I am trying not to be TOO complicated, otherwise this would be like 2x as long and mechanically tedious sfnjkasfslfkms I'm exercising... self control.......

, Dirk is gonna want Steve and Buttsnack on point to back him and Peaches up if the battle goes badly for some reason. Hammer Arm and Rock Slide are... actually REALLY useful here, and Buttsnack can swim AND is immune to the electricity in the water.
NO THAT'S honestly probably a good choice even if it might peeve Steve. He's all brawn if he can get away with it. Buttsnack probably does his own thing generally if he can get away with it because he knows he can strategise better. He might actually respect Dirk's direction more.
As for what he wants... URGGGH. He def wants to be higher ranked, especially after someone tried to pull rank to ground him, but it's not like he had any input with this one. He's probably more into rare items than cash since he already has a lot of money from gym battles, but I can go for cash if it's easier to keep everyone's rewards similar.
I am pretty sure we can handle a little variety in rewards... also Private isn't THAT high a rank, and Dirk would definitely praise Buttsnack in his report without clarifying who was doing what exactly. :V
... he portrays himself as a puppetmaster or as facilitating the improvement of his friends/the narrative/etc. Saying he just took over whatever doesn't sound nearly as good when you're trying to get your own rank up for being competent (and not a questionably stable control freak.)
Yeah, although if you or Usagi have any less aquatic strategies (not that Armin necessarily needs it less waterlogged, huh?) or more PRECISE ones I have plenty of time to adjust that
sabotage works- for the most part it'll be real minimal since they need to buy time for Dirk to actually receive his reward/have the paperwork through enough that this doesn't come back to him as anything he could've prevented
Carly would be sticking around just long enough to make sure it gets picked up on (as in, she'd stick around Sevii in various disguises) before ultimately leaving

maybe they won't know where the laprases are yet but they can at least leave a note telling Armin where he'll be able to find that information when they do
how about... like, I assume the laprasbot will rendezvous somewhere where they drop off the Lapras. leave him the coordinates of that with the baby they leave behind
And then from that rendezvous point, I can do some magical Lapras pod pyschic connection bullshit to find the place where they are being kept. Then everybody gets to like. Actually do some shit.
