You should be able to remove the hard drive and hook it up to another computer, but laptop hard drives tend to not use standard connector sizes so you may need to do some research/purchase some equipment to do so
Yeah assuming you have a tower around (I beleive you said you do?) you'll need some sort of adapter to connect the laptop HD to your tower's motherboard
