ᴋᴀᴢɪᴇ
only bc i can’t find the version i want, but i happen to own a paperback bc it was intended to be a required reading in college (until we got a new professor for the subject)

love the sarcasm, señor rizal
ShaynaIsHere
... I recognize this title. I think it was sort-of required reading at my school, too?
Or an excerpt was.

the filipino translations in high school completely take away the flavor. no wonder i never appreciated this - despite having played sisa in our big school play for the country’s centennial celebration
ᴋᴀᴢɪᴇ
as i told boyf, this and el fili should totes be college reading, not high school. also the versions should at least retain the original narrative style bc god that’s where the beauty of these novels are

oh wait this is the better plurk smithsyndicate
