[Covid-19] week four (I think) of working during a global pandemic

Monday, April 13th
today is the first day I've actually fully wanted

ugh, phone texting

wanted to call in since this whole thing started

but I can't, because I need the money

still got bills to pay, and gotta eat, so back into the office I go

bunch of people at the station today, only one wearing a mask.
Cops shooed away a homeless man who was laying on the pavement with his pantsway down

why are straight people like this?

this one and the multiple instances of kids tied up/taped to the floor

Tuesday April 14th
today I scared the birds by scattering seed

they were fighting over spilled Doritos, as birds do, and they freaked out when I lobbed a gentle handful of seeds in their direction

courtesy of the boss' wife, warshed and given to me in a ziplock baggie

I've been forgetting to update this, but that's because it's always the same

though the WHO released an article that's basically a big heavy sigh and: "no, drinking alcohol doesn't kill Covid if you have it, and puts you at greater risk of getting it"

welp, while tying on my kerchief mask I just got called "one of those crackpots"

...by a white guy with dreads and a snap-in grill

in other news: one thing I'm actually enjoying about contactless food delivery? I no longer have to smile at strangers

now if more of them could actually follow the direction to leave it on the bench and not the step where I have to go out the garage and pick it up bc it's blocking the door from opening, that'd be great

(our screen door opens outwards, as they do, and one time it was literally right against the door, like, my dude, seriously?)
