I'm torn, obvs, because as a temp I'm screwed if we do close, but if the state buildings are closed for safety reasons, why the hell are we still open?

putting this in here too: apparently my city is now included in the mandatory shelter in place, except 'essential services' which includes banks, but, like, we're the residential real estate department of the bank, and it's a credit union, not one of the big banks

so, how essential are we, really?

don't get me wrong, I'm glad to be working again, but ffs

As of this evening we're still supposed to come in tomorrow, we'll see what happens I guess (since midnight tonight is the start of the mandated shelter in place)

and like, the title companies, the county offices, basically everyone we deal with is non-essential or already voluntarily closed, so... I mean... we're useless?

WELP Transit is going to be running only on a Sunday schedule starting next week, it looks like I still catch the same train (it just means they're every half hour instead of every 15 minutes and they stop running earlier)

the amount of times i've been told "i'm so glad you guys are still open, i hope you stay open" ... its a lot

like yeah i'm glad for the money but also.... anxious

right?

especially because lol, guess what! Having had pneumonia means I'm predisposed to get it again

not to mention my dad being at risk bc of his age and my brother being at risk bc of his asthma, not that I'm going to see them this week bc of the shelter in place order, that visit isn't a necessity

but I was there last week, and if I was already exposed we're all fucked

so now I have a letter of writ to carry with me on the train to and from work that says I work for a bank and that financial institutions are Deemed Necessary

but I don't have business cards or anything with my name on it, so who even knows if this will work

and grocery delivery is already booked up for the next five days solid, so I've got to hike down there myself tomorrow, gdi

I wanted to avoid doing that, but I guess I can't.
