I have a slightly canon-divergent au fic I'm thinking about doing?

Picture this:

Fallout 4 continues as normal- Shaun gets kidnapped, husband dies- Fran (or any sole survivor) gets put into cryostasis.

She wakes up, starts looking for her baby. Only this time Father has perfected his child-like self and has died much earlier to his cancer than predicted. The Synth!Shaun is convinced the Sole survivor is his mother, and while in custody of Kellogg- manages to escape to find her.

The two meet up, and Fran indeed believes that this is her child- and that several years have passed since the time he was taken and the time she woke up.

However, the Institute is on their backs, trying to get Synth!shaun back.

(This part is completely non canon to the game but seems like fun to explore) Turns out- Synth!Shaun is able to grow and age like humans, making him a near perfect creation. The institute wishes to study the child and get him back in the "proper" hands- leading The Sole Survivor and Shaun on a chase through the commonwealth.

The Brotherhood manages to catch wind of this, and realize the truly horrifying implications of a synth that can grow older- so they hunt down Sole and Shaun as well, to put the synth down.

So now we have a Sole, trying their best to take care of Shaun and make up for lost time- being hunted down by both the Institute and the Brotherhood.

At some point, Sole is able to figure out that Synth!Shaun is not the actual Shaun and that 60 years have passed instead of ten. However, she comes to the conclusion that her true son is most likely dead, and she has already imprinted on this synth!shaun, so she decides to continue protecting and loving him as her mother.

She turns to various companions (Piper, Nick, Deacon, Hancock), meeting them and trying to get to the Railroad. Nick in particular finds this suspicious since the Railroad is an organization meant to help synths, not humans. He slowly also puts the pieces together.

Then the game plays out as the Sole survivor battling against the Institute and Brotherhood for her son's sake.

I don't have an ending but I really like the idea.

Yeee I think the idea of the sole survivor and little Shaun traveling the wasteland is really cute
