[covid] Business restrictions for NJ

not a travel ban yet, but some serious measures for the moment

I'm not worried about us getting sick bc we're real isolated atm other than Krystal going to work and she's being very careful about her hands and workspace.

I'm more worried about you getting stuck and not being able to get back.

american airlines said to wait 72 hours before your trip to cancel because they're getting so many calls, so cancelling right now isn't an option

they are offering to reschedule later in the year though

at least they did with my mom

I'll probably have to at any rate, even if I did make it over it'll be practically impossible to find anyone to stop in to check on the cats if they tighten restrictions

Can your parents do it bc I doubt they'll do a full home lockdown. The US is hemming and hawing over that being authoritarians so it looks like they're leaning more towards curfews.

I mean if we reschedule me might want to just idk cancel for now, as much as that sucks.

possibly, but my dad's high risk and my mom wants to minimize his potential exposure so I'd have to ask them. plus they're an hour away, which they'd only need to stop in a couple times but still, it's a long drive.

I'll play it by ear. if the restrictions don't get much worse by the time I'd need to call to reschedule, I'll come over, but if things seem to be seriously locking down we might just have to cancel.

For the cats, you might be able to kennel them. That's not a heavily public facing business so they might not be effected by the restrictions

thankfully NJ hasn't been too seriously hit, and it's only been North Jersey (with like 3 cases in central), so South Jersey has been okay so far.

plus with them shutting down casinos they might just not even have us working, even from home.

at this point I don't expect much restrictions from NJ, at least nothing that would make it impossible to get back. But it's still probably going to be a pain if they make it worse
