[Covid-19 ish] I'm just a little amused by everyone working from home, and me who just started working again hopping on the train and going downtown

where I believe all the federal buildings are closed starting this week, people started working from home last week

but because we're a credit union

we're still open?

lol I hear you. going in to work this morning there was definitely less traffic than usual for the time.

I still have to go in tomorrow since I don't have a work laptop but honestly expecting at some point this week to get told no one's supposed to come in

yeah, I'm SOL if that ends up happening, since I'm a temp

I feel you. I'm so fucking new at work, and we're way less valueable than a bank. if we shut down, I doubt I'll be coming back after

yes. and internet and phones bc these are now essentials

yes, internet absolutely needs to be a provided utility as well. all these schools closing and so many families don't have internet at home and so their children can't participate in elearning.

oh dang, I hadn't even thought of that being an issue

granted, I was homeschooled, so anything pertaining to formal/public education is a mystery to me

I keep wondering what the ramifications of this will be after everything is said and done, and if we will actually learn from this crisis in any way such as universal healthcare or increasing minimum wage or anything because this is really shining the light on the state of America

if anything comes out of this shit that is positive...... I wanna hope

I mean, not with the current administration, but I live in hope
