Yesterday our first covid-19 case was announced, today all schools and universities have been closed for one week..but the term ends for Easter break in two weeks anyway so we are hoping they just extend it by an extra week so in the end we get an entire month of no school..it only makes sense right?

Otherwise it’s just a week of no school, then a week of school, then two weeks of no school and what’s the point? No one learns anything in that last week before Easter break anyway and it’s not fair to carry out exams right now

Thats what the Philippines did. We were already on a week break, but community quarantine bumped it to a month. School's over by then, summer vacay. The DepEd just helped teachers create an average through the truncated academic year

My school did that for Hurricane Matthew. We were closed for a week and would have come back for four days before fall break, so they just stayed closed
