[rl] I wanna talk about this bc I’m really excited--I have a job interview on Tuesday at the Los Angeles regional food bank!! How cool is that?!

I’ve really been seeking non-profit or charity related careers bc after working with my career counselor for a few months it’s that I realized I want to do with my life. I want to give back but I can’t afford to go back to school for medicine or social work or anything.

But I can do marketing for orgs that need it! I don’t mind marketing as long as it’s for a cause I genuinely care about (and not marketing for marketing’s sake like my last job)

I was really bummed when the position I applied to at Planned Parenthood closed without then actually hiring anyone (?! it was weird), but this is another really great cause and I’m absolutely hype

Apparently they got SLAMMED with a massive amount of applications, and when I reached out after my initial phone screener they said it’d be like two more weeks before I heard anything

But I sent them my portfolio and they IMMEDIATELY got in touch asking for an in person interview bc they liked my work so much!

I’m so happy! I really want this one to work out bc it’s a genuinely important cause and a way to give back to the community that actually uses my existing skills

It’s one of those intensive multi-hour interviews, too, where you meet with several different departments. Apparently I’m going to meet one of the chief officers too
