Tom Clancy wrote a book in 1991 called The Sum of All Fears

it's a spy thriller about a Palestinian terrorist trying to start a war between America and the Soviet Union

In 2002, a movie version of it was released

but it changed the Palestinian terrorists into Neo-Nazis

and a lot of the response to the movie was like "look at this toothless reworking of a bold, unexpected antagonist group of Middle Eastern terrorists in favor of cheesy, irrelevant Neo-Nazis"

and I guess, like...

that sure aged
