A king pushes onward always, accepting the consequences and never looking back...not even when he is leaving parts of himself behind as he makes his way forward.
he needs hugs from his son too. it's going to be stupid, but he wants to thank everyone for not telling him about Aulea. He knows how much it changed him and he would never have survived it twice
wife's death, son's going to die and almost DOES TWICE while he is right there, guess all the attention has to go to making sure there is a kingdom left for him to save (and then he ends up giving up that so Noct has a chance to save everyone sobs)
yeah, I think that is probably even WORSE than having to be the one delivering that blow. Yeah there is the prophecy and all that shit, but when it comes down to THIS? Just WHY?
Life as a Widower and King: The council traditionalists wait only a 'respectful mourning' time before subtly beginning to hint that Regis should remarry.
When the hints become something less subtle, he puts his foot down, saying that he hardly has time for his own son alongside ruling the country. What makes them think he is going to doom another queen to die in an empty bed? No one dares bring up the question again after that.
yes, I recall reading that as well and I figured it must have happened sometime before Founder's Day since there is no mention of Wesk during the attack. Clarus is already comfortable with role of Shield AND advsior
oh what's that? ardyn was never actually going to kill noct bc his convoluted plan still involved needing noctis to go in the crystal? oh you mean all this was actually pointless and life is a series of tragic comedies?
in another world where he thought for two more seconds and planned ahead/where he was thirsty for ardyn, he kicked ass so hard that ardyn just stopped existing
I like to think that the pain was the ring forcing its way past whatever magic barrier the starscourge created in his body that's given him so many problems, like an echo of the crystal rejecting ardyn for the same reason

I LIE. I will NEVER be that dead. sobsA king pushes onward always, accepting the consequences and never looking back...not even when he is leaving parts of himself behind as he makes his way forward.
