[work] took a mental health day yesterday, and as soon as I get back, work is instantly determined to grind my face into the dirt twice as hard as it was before

god why is it always like this. my mental health day was basically the mon holiday but now I am v overwhelmed, behind on work, and upset about it. why it always be like this
