I wanna pet that kitty

Lilly is a cautious and anxious kitty who LOVES getting petted but is scared of people, hands, faces, things in people's hands and shoes. last year same time i couldn't even go near her with the glove on, she would run. then i managed to brush her while she was having the zoomies and she loved it. the whole last summer she demanded glove time at

least 3-4 times a day, but i could only brush her on a spot she picked, noewhere else in the house she would let me do it

and now she starts demanding the glove again but she doesn't care anymore where it's happening, on the sofa, in the kitchen...i see how she's doing progress slowly and that makes me very happy

the last couple of months have been pretty rough for her. she was having health issues and we often had to go to the vet. it stressed her out so much, she had to get a sedation every time. the first time we went, she was so scared she puked, drooled, peed and pooped on the vet's table, it was terrifyig seeing her like that. anyways after all that stress

she's been put through it's the best feeling to see her happy and relaxed again and that she got over all that without any major setbacks. i was scared she would be forever traumatized now, but seems she's doing very well

You are so sweet and patience Izzie. Lilly is very lucky to have such a considerate owner. She looks so happy

Paco Pooley : thank you, yes, she's fine now, finally! we just got the results last week, that her values are normal again and her bladder infection is gone. unfortunately in december we found out that she was born with a kidney defect in both kidneys and that makes her prone to UTI's, so we have to keep an eye on that. for now she doesn't

need any meds or anything. just observing her and doing regular checkups

the good news is that we were very lucky to find out about her kidney issues so early, so we can be a step ahead and for now her values are completely fine and i hope it will stay like this for a looong time
