I just. this is so good for Jester's story. She is killing it in her own way

because this isn't just about how smart she is, how smart Laura is

this is a classic monkey's paw, alchemy, a sacrifice meant to hurt and dig down

and all of them were ready to take it in their own way, to figure out what they needed to do to play the game

and it's Jester, sweet loving Jester, who just goes. no. those rules suck. I'm breaking them.

I'm so proud and so happy

she's sweet and silly and it's so easy to almost forget that she's not just the nice ditzy one

but she is rewriting everything
