I haven't seen the animatics for Bad Batch. Missed it when I watched The Clone Wars. Fixing that today. Am i going to be ok? Does someone need to hold my hand?

aaaah, I love poor Tup so much, though yeah, he's very sparse. But one thing about the clones is I think there's enough 'solid' stuff on their shared background that you at least have a good base to build from even for the boys who don't have much canon

the game I have Fives in (I can't remember if you know TLV at all or not) has actually had a few character swap events during his time, and for one of them I swapped Tup in for him and played him enough that I ended up with a PSL for him... but no journal XD

The animators were so good at expressions though... there's stuff to read there

They did a really good job with differentiating a bunch of functionally identical men

and though they did animate them all as looking way older than they probably should have they did differentiate the apopearance of the younger and older clones pretty well

tup is interesting because he does read as younger, more affected by his surroundings and what's happening, just to be milder in general. but in action he shows himself very capable

like he was the one who got krell to that alien plant that killed him

yeah, they might have different personalities, but if they survived to be deployed they're all very competent. Up and Dogma were probably deployed at the point where they were sending them out as only 7 or 8 year olds. Even Domino squad, per the narration, were deployed early, probably as 9 year olds since it was still early in the war

but even then tup and dogma are definitely dealing with the same thing in different ways. dogma throwing himself while tup is thoughtful and adaptable

(and it's very much a matter of surviving to be deployed, b/c the Kaminoans either culled or reconditioned any clones not up to standard... which we don't see in the cartoon, b/c a ) kids' show and b ) we only see them after the Jedi took over)

but I definitely go with the books' portrayal of their training regardless of it being legends rather than canon now, since they gave us no more canon there

I have to admit, I haven't really read much else b/c I'm 100% in it for the clones, I just... don't really care about the Jedi. Though once our finances are a bit better I'm thinking of hunting up some of the books that focus on the Mandalorians

I really wish they had an audio version though. I drive a lot for work and i go through audo books like nothing

they defnitely have some problematic/annoying/frustrating elements, but I love them for the window into clone culture
