[irl] 5 day work weeks are so hard guys

I have a job again, in housekeeping again

where the expectation is 26min/room for a checkout

I can do a bed in ~10 min, which is bottom sheet, middle sheet, feather doonah, top sheet

which is like. it sucks but okay

but the Australian Open is happening

nearly every room has two beds bc everyone's fucking staying to watch the tennis

so my alarm is at 6.30, to get up at 7, leave the house before 7.30 so I can get to work by 8.30

which I am ALWAYS late for, between 5 and 30+ minutes, bc my train line is under construction and the majority of my transit is buses in peak hour traffic

and the last few days I've been doing 6+ hour shifts

with no break (tbf no one is taking breaks) but a half hour for it gets deducted from our pay anyway

like

on one the one hand I've earned over $1100 this fortnight

but on the other I'm so physically tired and it eats into my brainy tag energy
