新竹市衛生局接獲醫院通報疑似傳染性肺炎病例，均為外縣市個案到新竹市就醫，分別為新竹縣的二十八歲男性及新竹縣的四十七歲女性。
經疾管署檢驗，前者已排除出院，另外一例尚待檢驗結果，目前收治於新竹馬偕負壓隔離病房。
CDC呼吸道疾病暨免疫中心主任梅森尼爾Nancy Messonnier在當地時間21日召開記者會表示，現在美國已經確認中國武漢肺炎首例，不排除在美國與全球發現更多病例。
