I joke that sometimes I just need a couple hours of unholy slaughter to get my head in gear. I love the full moon secret levels in Dungeon Keeper (an oldie but goodie) where the goal is to slaughter your imps, often by slapping them to death before a time limit runs down.
Dungeon Keeper is a gem. GOG has it for a song, too. It's basically a building game where your job is to populate dungeons with the intent to eliminate all those pesky heroes that keep you from dominating everywhere you want.
LOL. I spent sooooo long rolling around waiting for the item world to open up because I have waaaaay too much fun item worlding. Just. I love it. I ended up over-leveled because of it. I've not finished the game yet, because pokemon came out, but you know!
NIS is great for giving you so much you forget there are things you probably should be doing. It's one of the reasons I have an entire Pandora station dedicated to the mix of artists I like to listen to while grinding.
Bless this. I forget what niche strategies I used to use for things, but I recall like, doing something that made my angelic hosts and mages super powerful? But that was on D1DS.
Rhapsody (a playstaion one game) had a moment where I fell out of my seat laughing right as we were heading towards the big showdown because of a fourth-wall breaking statement shouting that "I'm the hero, me, the one with the controller!"
I have a partly conceived story idea that focuses on an insurance adjuster in a world with superheroes. At least one of my lawyer relatives thinks you probably could use an act of god clause to get out of paying if Thor smooshed your building.
The giant mecha/kaiju fight WILL happen wherever there are skyscrapers to knock into, so maybe someone should think about concentrating population differently?
So someday, when I actually figure out what the character is actually like instead of just a Johnny Dollar knock-off, I'll probably write the "God With a Little G" as a short.
On one hand, my cousin thought it was a hillarious and potentially valid interpretation that would depend on exact wording and whether the godly status of said individual was in question.
Oh god, spending some time all to myself just playing games on the new computer was definitely something I needed.
Game: Encourage them to work faster!
You: I'm gonna do a murder.
I am a fan of dungeon crawls, to be fair! Also I think this is the first game I've seen in a loooong time that lets you play an evil overlord?
Nope! That's D4. D5 is 'Save all the netherworlds from Void Dark'
Right???? It's a good game. Also an amaaazing timesink.
I like to play a lot with overdone tropes, but when they're played straight I usually just can't pay attention?
Have fun!! And sleep well, dream well!
