I got an unexpected phone call from the Peace Corps this morning. They've canceled the China program. The excuse: China is no longer a poor country and they can afford to provide these services for themselves. Wasn't that the FIRST question I asked during my interview? They've strung me along for 6 months with forms/essays/expensive medical tests.

While they have promised to call my next week with other programs that are leaving in the same time frame, I seriously doubt I've both qualify and want to go to any of them.
I've given myself permission to be a total, whiny baby about this for 48 hours. Then I'll put on my big-girl panties and make a Plan C. (The Peace Corps was already Plan

That is really a disappointment. I'm sorry. And I agree with your plan to whine for awhile.
