"So did Verstael do the daemonifying stuff because of Ardyn or was that on his own?"

One answer: "Ardyn was definitely involved."

Other answer: "Verstael was already looking for the ultimate weapon, so rather than forcibly he had his own will."

So they're basically like, "Both!"

But it's kind of how I pictured it anyway. I think Ardyn pushed things but he probably didn't need to push Verstael that much to try stuff. And then he went crazier and crazier...

Nobody telling him 'no' or arguing the other side
