I got pulled over speeding for the first time a few weeks ago. Wasn't surprised, just disappointed. Everyone always speeds, it's a county road in the middle of nowhere. But of course he had to catch me right before a town that I always slow down for

It always seems like the type of town where they pay the bills with speeding tickets, but I got caught this time, oh well

but now I'm mad bc y'all the google reviews of this county's court are tragic

Luckily he actually put a lower speed than I was "going" on my ticket since it was my first citation, so I paid half what he intended to charge me, but these are the kinds of folks who will actually intentionally say you're going faster just to charge you that

Not only that, but I call them bc it says to contact them to take a class to remove my license points, right? She tells me I needed to get my ticket notarized with that option, plus my personal check I sent doesn't work for them

I know few places accept personal checks, this is why I clarified with the officer that I could pay with one!! And then went out, got one, and mailed it plenty early!! This is why bc somehow I knew they'd send it back

And after all that I can pay the ticket online??? Nowhere on my citation nor in his instructions did they mention this. I found it myself first and then the helpful lady I spoke with tells me "oh just do that that's so much easier" since I do not live near this county

I have plenty of time in my 30 days, I was complying with everything, and they still made it difficult

I wouldn't be venting, but no one is around to talk to and I'm so sleep-deprived that I started crying while still talking on the phone so here I am

Just ready to take the course and get it done with god damn

And no, I'm not going to stop speeding in Florida lmao I drive like every damn person on the road, better even

I'll just take my chances on the interstate the next time I head that way bc I'm suddenly distrustful of that highway

I've made that drive countless times without issue smh
