same here. i always wondered why those old artists draw the actual skull, muscles and everything in their scribblings. i guess that's why.
but...but...but... i don't wanna draw super-realistic old men! i want to draw lolis! D:

I know that feel, I'm not fond of drawing realistic people either. This may depend on the person but you can still learn from anime style as long as you understand the ever important fundamentals.
