it's not a bad class! but it's the tank I picked up latest - my tank alt started as warrior and then picked up dark knight when that came out

and then I picked up gunbreaker on my main as soon as I could because of course I'd pick up the gunblades class

Gathering is good. Takes effort, of course, but it's also not completely overwhelming

The thing I don't really like about the crafting system is that if you start one, you kind of have to start all of them, because you need parts from other crafting professions for a lot of things

Just one day in vacation, I dropped about 80k on crafting mats, and cooking and carpentry are my highest at 32

fisher is the only crafting/gathering class I have above 70 rn

and that's because you get xp for each fish so it gets real easy to level if you want to go dig up one specific kind of fish

I could pretty easily get botany and even mining up there. I've been stockpiling crafting mats for when I do get around to the other crafting professions, to the point where my retainers and my saddlebags have run out of space and I'm seriously considering buying more retainers

And then I start a new crafting profession to try and use them up and I just end up with more of higher level :|
