(thinking) Asked here, a week or so ago, is the word "burglarized" or "burgled". The consensus said "burgled". Just watched TV cop show from Whitehall, London, England in the 1880's (Ripper Street). The cops said "burglarised". :-o
I always thought burgled to be the British way and burglarized to be the American adaptation.

Now makes me wonder if the settlers brought the original and then Britain mangled the word to burgled afterwards.
