Gabiluzbad
[mute] Dream journal because it was a weird one
Gabiluzbad
So it started with the Earth being destroyed
Gabiluzbad
But I somehow survived by hiding in like a subway station or something
Gabiluzbad
Which was flung out into another dimension
Gabiluzbad
And then things get blurry for a while but I remember looking out a window and seeing shifting impossible trees growing at weird angles
Gabiluzbad
And also a black void of space out one door and ordinary sunlight out another and there were weird crystals everywhere
Gabiluzbad
Anyway I and a few other surviving humans made a home in this new dimension which was full of weird aliens
Gabiluzbad
At some point there was a council of godlike aliens about what to do with this one war criminal
Gabiluzbad
But while captured he tricked one of the aliens on the council to accidentally unleash this unstoppable weapon, which they ALMOST contained
Gabiluzbad
But didn’t quite manage it because unstoppable
Gabiluzbad
So then there was this phantom force floating through the universe that, if anyone encountered it, would force them to instantly devote the rest of their life to destroying everything
Gabiluzbad
I guess that’s just what the weapon does
Gabiluzbad
And some guys and I were trying to figure out how to stop that when I woke up
Gabiluzbad
But the whole thing stuck with me because it had like this grand scale
Gabiluzbad
Where everything going on was just so BIG the best I could hope for was to survive and understand it
Gabiluzbad
Actually controlling anything was beyond little ol me
Gabiluzbad
Also most of the surviving humans were my coworkers
Gabiluzbad
No it wasn’t that everything was too big to control it was that everything was too old and alien to understand
Gabiluzbad
With the sense that if I could just figure it out then I could control my destiny
Gabiluzbad
But everything was like a goddamn puzzle
Echo
Damn.
Echo
That's definitely a metaphor for something, but fuck if I know what.
Echo
(Also, kind of interesting that Quinn had that dream that was classic existential horror, whereas you had one that was more existentialist-esque sci-fi.)
Gabiluzbad
Quinn is a big horror fan and I am a big sci-fi fan so
Gabiluzbad
Update I just remembered
Gabiluzbad
I think I could talk to the crystals
Gabiluzbad
And that they kept trying to ask me for money
Echo
...honestly, that explains a lot about all those crystal healing things.
