As far as I can tell, Los Angeles (City, not county) has no local elections today?

If the ballot question goes through, our state constitution will be amended to allow disabled voters alternate means of signing petitions!

But there was a proposal for ranked choice voting

i want that so bad

but dad and i voted

we've got ranked choice in Maine, it was actually really good for making people more chill with each other last time around. It was really nice.

There were some independents running who didn't have a strong chance so usually they'd be a drag on the candidates that did to kick out a shitty incumbent, but everyone was just like "hey that's cool just remember to put this other one above Fuckhead McGee on the ranking, just in case"

ranked choice voting is great. Minneapolis and St. Paul have that for some municipal races.

Fuckhead MacGillicutty took the state to court over losing after the rank choice kicked in because this was disenfranchising his voters!! it was deeply satisfying to see the ruling from the judge of basically "it's not illegal for you to lose. NEXT."
