went to the arboretum today and TWO LIFERS

also we learned about the Texas persimmon today by way of finding one in the arboretum's demonstration garden, covered in ripe fruit,

the arboretum staff probably would have frowned on us picking some but look there was a lot and it was delicious

we want to get one for our back yard for shade, wildlife attraction, and delicious fruit

to go alongside an elderberry

and we bought some milkweeds (bloodflower and desert milkweed), a new sage, something called coral fountain, a new butterfly mist flower, and the !!DESERT HACKBERRY!! that I've wanted for ages

OUR FRUIT WILL BRING ALL THE BIRDS TO THE YARD.
