So much passive aggressive BS and just plain aggressive BS in the whole office. Guys, wtf, why can't we just work together? Why is it so important to find blame before simply fixing a problem?

One of the biggest things that pissed me off today was walking in on the upper management team talking about someone 'faking' having a sickness

The type you can't really fake. They literally came into work and were sick in the office because they wanted to work.

The fact that the doctor gave them a week off after that suggesta they're not faking to get out of work

A member of my team has been taken to help with the work load left behind by this person suddenly being out for a week and she is so miserable in the other side of the office.

She hasn't done that type of work in nearly 2 years and so many things have changed. Instead of helpfully coaching her when she makes mistakes she's getting blasted. Or when she asks for clarification she says she getting eye rolls

How disrespectful. My team is now strained because she's missing to try to help you and she's busting ass to relearn something on the fly and you're just being negative towards her.

The other thing that made me want to walk out is because of a "mistake" I made.

I say mistake because I have proof to show that it was a system issue, but no one cares.

It was a mistake that happened last week. I updated an address in the system. I have a note stating I updated it. It's saved in my searches as having checked it for a valid address. Nothing else I did saved in it either.

It only happens rarely, but it does happen.

Lucky me. It happened to me this time.

So a phone got sent out to the wrong address. The very moment I was made aware this happened I was on the phone and correcting the problem.

While I was on said phone a manager came over to tell me about it. Had to write on a sticky note that I was aware and the call I was on was to fix it.

Fixed it. Package is being redirected. You'd think it was done right? WRONG

Hours later after I emailed the manger who had come to talk to me about it to let her know it was corrected and update her on the tracking number she came over to give me a lecture about being more diligent

I apologised for the error because I know the last time this glitched happened to someone else she wouldn't hear it. She said that people need to stop making excuses for mistakes.

So just took the lecture.

I think it's because the two people who came off maternity leave last month have been getting address wrong a lot lately. And they don't know how to fix it when it happens like I do

And for some reason I was the final straw. It's the only reason I can think they're singling me out.

I haven't been looking to be honest. I'm so bad with change and while parts of it are toxic I like that I'm good at what I do. And I like that (Besides for the crazy lady who tries to nark on me) I am allowed to he on my phone if I'm keeping up with my work.

I'm finally at a salary where I can start thinking of saving up for a house. I'm sure I'd probably have to take a pay cut if I tried anything else because I'm not really that skilled.
