Westerado: Double Barreled - I actually wasn't blind to this game as I had seen a let's play of it before. It's still fun and a good way to spend an hour since that's about how long a typical run lasts

My two major complaints are 1. the open world environments are super lackluster with little in the way of interesting features or geography making it hard to find like. anything 'cause everything looks the same

2. the battle system is. so passive.

maybe i just need to unlock more skills, but i'm used to running around for positioning, using active defense and dodge mechanisms, pushing and pulling enemies around and so on and so forth

Okay yeah the game takes a VERY long time to actually give you fights with, like, mechanics

I suspected as such,, since right now difficulty amounts to "how many enemies do you have to fight at a single time"

I think my biggest annoyance is the fact that I have to stand still to use so many of my skills

since in GW2 you can move around when using 80% of the skills, the ones that root you tend to be your super powerful dps burst skills

Ah, yeah. Having to stand still to cast is a magic-specific thing.

ACN in particular is a weird one because when you hit 30 it’ll split into two jobs that level at the same time, one healer one DPS

I was also gonna joke about how the cities are full of people and the open world map i see like one other person if i'm lucky but that's true of every mmo

Also you’re totally right that the world design is Just Okay - there’s a couple cool spots like the Burning Wall in Thanalan but mostly it’s just Fine until you hit the expansions.

Open content is largely nothing (unless a Hunt Train comes passing through your area)

oh one thing i do enjoy is how bringing up the map overlays it in a part of the screen for better navigation. now if only the maps themselves were easier to read
