Yeah that's a leopard slug. Theyre thoroughly regarded as pests, but I kind of like them anyway.

my aunt was literally gonna pour salt on it tho and I was like noooooo

it wouldn't even have come out to bother you, you just disturbed the flower pot it was hiding under

I was able to use it as a teaching moment to show my little cousin that inverts aren't scary tho

hardly convinced her to love them but I was like "it's harmless, it didn't hurt me, see. they just wanna slime around and eat dead leaves and stuff."

then we looked up stuff on wikipedia about leopard slugs and found out that the top speed of a leopard slug is 6 inches per minute and she got very excited to go tell this hilarious info to her family
