Art so, if you're commissioned a painting and the person who commissioned it has not paid you, 1) how long do you give them before you assume they were fucking with you? (and yes, I have contacted them. Several times. No response.) and 2) Do you even bother trying to sell artwork ever again?

And I know they've been online, bc they're updating their twitter a lot.

about a month; yes - also for commissions: either 1/2 up front 1/2 after, or all up front. as a buyer i prefer 1/2 up front because I've been screwed our of money by an artist never delivering.

Gayocalypse
as an artist it means you aren't completely hosed if they ghost you

Gayocalypse
this assumes they've paid

Gayocalypse
sorry: this next part

if they have, just wait until they remember to poke you back if it's a matter of getting the info to complete it, gentle reminders every so often but otherwise it's on them. if you're trying to get a mailing addy, same thing

oh y, I def asked for half up front. I'm not even thinking about starting until they pay me half.

Which they said was fine, and that they'd do it Weds, but. Nada. I've poked them once on thursday.

gently, of course in case they forgot.
