I don’t know where the other kittens are, they might be hiding under the shed

They would have had some time to react while the coyote chased their brother. The little guy couldn’t climb the short brick wall to get back to the shed on his own yet

I’ve put the boys in the enclosure and locked it. They’re surrounded by chain link on all sides

I can't even imagine living somewhere where wild animals can kill family pets.

I've been here for over 3 decades and this is brand new

The city just... isn't doing anything

They let us report coyotes and that's about it

"Oh, hey, look, coyotes are over here"

"Just chase them away so they can go down another street and attack someone else' property"

They're just waiting for them to get used to people's neighborhoods enough to start attacking more kids and then maybe they'll do something

You'd think with dangerous wildlife invading people's properties they'd do a little bit more. 50% of the posts on the neighborhood app are people having spotted coyotes or having them hanging out in their yard and stuff

You wouldn't just leave bears or mountain lions to hang out in people's yards...

The kittens still haven't shown themselves

I see no trace of their remains or blood trails, but it was cold last night. If they got split up the weather might have gotten them...

It's possible they survived, but it's almost 10AM and they haven't emerged

They haven't responded to me or the other cats

The mother cat might have moved them at some point

When she was searching she might have been looking for the missing guy, because she would have known one was gone

It's hard to know because when she used to move them before, they weren't far away, but it was like a sound barrier. They were right behind our shed and you couldn't hear them
